Apple crumble for two

Directions

  1. 1Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C) and lightly grease or butter two 10-ounce ramekins.
  2. 2Mix together the apple chunks, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt in a medium bowl, then divide into the two ramekins.
  3. 3Whisk the flour, brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon and salt together in a small bowl.
  4. 4Stir in the melted butter until a crumbly mixture forms, then crumble over the apple filling.
  5. 5Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are cooked through and tender.
  6. 6Remove from the oven, place on a wire rack, and allow to cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.

  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • salted caramel (optional)
  • vanilla ice cream (optional)
