Directions
1
Pour one bag of uncooked fusilli pasta into your casserole dish.
2
Add one 24-ounce jar of your favorite marinara sauce to the pasta.
3
Fill the empty marinara sauce jar with water, shake it to get all the sauce out, and pour it directly on top of the pasta and sauce.
4
Cut 1.5 pounds of uncooked chicken breast into bite-sized pieces directly into the casserole dish using kitchen shears.
5
Season the chicken generously with salt.
6
Add cracked black pepper to the chicken.
7
Sprinkle granulated garlic powder over the chicken.
8
Give everything a quick mix with a spatula to ensure all ingredients are well combined and coated.
9
Cover the casserole dish and cook in a preheated oven at 425 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 minutes.
10
After 30 minutes, remove the lid and mix the chicken and pasta.
11
Coat the top of the casserole with about a cup and a half of shredded mozzarella cheese.
12
Add one cup of panko bread crumbs evenly on top of the mozzarella cheese.
13
Drizzle about half a stick of melted butter over the bread crumbs to help them crisp up.
14
Top with freshly grated parmesan cheese.
15
Return the casserole to the oven at 425 degrees Fahrenheit for about 15 minutes, or until the cheese melts and crisps up to a golden color.
16
Garnish with freshly cut parsley.
17
Cut and scoop out a portion into a bowl.
