Directions

  1. 1Mix all purpose flour, whole wheat flour, sesame seeds, blessing seeds, sugar, a pinch of salt, and water.
  2. 2Knead the dough until it is soft, bouncy, and not sticky.
  3. 3Rub it with olive oil and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  4. 4Chop all the onions and cook them in a decent amount of olive oil.
  5. 5Add salt, pepper, turmeric, and cumin powder.
  6. 6Once it softens a bit, add shredded chicken breasts and mix.
  7. 7Divide the dough into 1 large piece and 6 smaller pieces.
  8. 8Stretch the large piece with a touch of olive oil until you get a flat, thin dough.
  9. 9Place it on a deep baking dish making sure that the edges are stretching outwards.
  10. 10Layer the pie with chicken and onions, and dough until you finish the whole amount.
  11. 11Combine the last layer with the base and make some holes in the pie.
  12. 12Cover the whole dish with tin foil tightly wrapped.
  13. 13Place it in the oven for two and a half hours.
  14. 14Flip it on a serving plate.

  • 1 cup olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 2 pounds shredded chicken breasts
