Parmesan Bread

Directions

  1. 1Add 1.5 cups of warm water to a bowl.
  2. 2Add 2 teaspoons of traditional active dry yeast (or instant yeast) to the water.
  3. 3Add 2.5 cups of all-purpose flour to the bowl.
  4. 4Add 1 teaspoon of salt to the bowl.
  5. 5Add a few tablespoons of everything but the bagel seasoning to the bowl.
  6. 6Add about 1 teaspoon of garlic powder to the bowl.
  7. 7Mix all ingredients together until it forms a shaggy dough ball.
  8. 8Cover the bowl and let the dough rest for an hour.
  9. 9Flour your surface and dump the sticky dough onto the counter.
  10. 10Stretch the dough into a rectangle.
  11. 11Add about 3/4 of a cup of parmesan cheese on top of the dough.
  12. 12Roll the dough into the middle and stretch it out a little bit.
  13. 13Grease an 8-inch bread pan.
  14. 14Add the dough seam side down to the bread pan.
  15. 15Cover the pan and let the dough do a second rise for 20-30 minutes while the oven preheats to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
  16. 16Score the top of the dough with a knife.
  17. 17Spray the top of the dough with olive oil.
  18. 18Sprinkle everything but the bagel seasoning on top.
  19. 19Sprinkle extra parmesan cheese on top.
  20. 20Bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 35 minutes.
  21. 21Dump the baked bread onto a wire rack to cool down.
  22. 22Cut the bread open and smother it in butter.
