Grandma's Classic Sugar Cookies
Directions
- 1In a bowl, mix together 2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour, 1 tsp baking soda, and ½ tsp baking powder.
- 2In a separate bowl, cream together 1 cup of softened unsalted butter and 1 ½ cups of sugar.
- 3Add one large egg to the creamed butter mixture and mix well.
- 4Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- 5Chill the dough for 1 hour.
- 6Roll the dough into balls using a cookie scoop and coat them with sugar.
- 7Bake at 375°F for 8-11 minutes.
- 8Cool and serve.
