Hot Honey Fried Chicken

Directions

  1. 1In a bowl, add buttermilk and hot sauce to your chicken.
  2. 2Add half a pack of sazon to the chicken mixture.
  3. 3Let the chicken marinate for about an hour (or 30 minutes to 24 hours for better results).
  4. 4In another bowl, prepare the flour mixture by adding flour, the rest of the sazon, Italian seasoning, black pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, chili powder, and salt.
  5. 5Ensure the flour is thoroughly seasoned; if you can't see the seasoning, add more.
  6. 6Coat your chicken thoroughly in the seasoned flour, shaking off any excess buttermilk.
  7. 7Let the coated chicken sit for a few minutes to ensure it gets crispy.
  8. 8Preheat your frying oil to 375°F (190°C).
  9. 9Fry the chicken for about 10 to 12 minutes (or 7-10 minutes) until it's golden brown and fully cooked.
  10. 10In a bowl, prepare the hot honey sauce by adding about half a cup of honey and half a cup of your favorite hot sauce (or 2 parts honey to 1 part hot sauce).
  11. 11Pour the hot honey sauce all over your fried chicken.
  12. 12Serve and enjoy!
