1Melt the butter in a pan over high heat, add chicken drumsticks and saute for 5 minutes.
2Add the garlic, ginger, and green chilli paste and saute until fragrant.
3Add the halved tomatoes, cover the pan, and steam over medium-to-low heat.
4Remove the skin from the steamed tomatoes.
5Add the salt, white pepper, and black pepper, then stir.
6Add optional spices: chili flakes, dry coriander powder, and garam masala, then saute.
7Stir in the yoghurt mixed with mint.
8Continue cooking on low heat until finished.
9Garnish with green bullet chillies and fresh coriander.

Tips
The creator notes that adding chili flakes, dry coriander powder, and garam masala are optional steps to enhance the flavor but are not part of an authentic shanwari recipe.
Removing tomato skins is easily done after they have been steamed.
The dish is ready when you see butter separating from the sides of the pan.
