Directions

  1. 1Add 1 cup of mayonnaise to a large white bowl.
  2. 2Finely mince 2 tablespoons of red bell pepper.
  3. 3Add the minced red bell pepper to the mayonnaise.
  4. 4Finely mince 1 tablespoon of pickled jalapeños.
  5. 5Add the minced pickled jalapeños to the mayonnaise and red bell pepper.
  6. 6Add 1 tablespoon of brine from the pickled jalapeño jar to the mixture.
  7. 7In a separate small bowl, combine 1 teaspoon of onion powder, 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1/4 teaspoon of paprika, 1/4 teaspoon of cumin, 1/4 teaspoon of chili powder, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt.
  8. 8Stir the dry seasonings together.
  9. 9Add the combined seasonings to the mayonnaise mixture.
  10. 10Stir all ingredients together until smooth.
  11. 11Transfer the Baja sauce into an airtight container.
  12. 12Cover the container and refrigerate the sauce for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to blend.
