Directions

  1. 1In a bowl, mix together flour, paprika, ancho chili powder, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, and salt.
  2. 2Add water and whisk until a smooth batter is formed.
  3. 3In a separate bowl, add water and salt.
  4. 4Cut potatoes into large strips.
  5. 5Use a curly fry cutter to make the potatoes into curly fries.
  6. 6Submerge the fries in the bowl of salted water for 30 minutes.
  7. 7Remove the fries from the water and pat them dry.
  8. 8Toss the fries in the flour mixture to coat them evenly.
  9. 9Heat oil in a pot and fry the fries until golden brown.
  10. 10Remove the fries and place them on a metal cooling rack to drain excess oil.
  11. 11Season the cooked fries with salt.
  12. 12Serve and enjoy!
