Double Chocolate Banana Bread

Directions

  1. 1Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. 2Line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
  3. 3In a large bowl, mash the bananas until smooth.
  4. 4Add melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Mix until well combined.
  5. 5Add the egg and whisk until smooth.
  6. 6Mix in the sour cream and vanilla extract.
  7. 7In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and baking soda.
  8. 8Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients.
  9. 9Fold gently until almost combined.
  10. 10Add the chocolate chips and fold just until incorporated.
  11. 11Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and top with extra chocolate chips.
  12. 12Bake for about 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs.

  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips, plus extra for topping
  • 1 tsp baking soda
