Directions

  1. 1In an electric mixer, combine one cup of salted butter, one cup of brown sugar, and half a cup of granulated sugar.
  2. 2Mix the sugars and butter.
  3. 3Add 2 eggs and two teaspoons of vanilla.
  4. 4Add one tablespoon of molasses and mix.
  5. 5Add all dry ingredients: one and a half cups of all-purpose flour, one teaspoon of baking soda, one teaspoon of salt, one and a half teaspoons of cinnamon, and three cups of oats.
  6. 6Mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until combined.
  7. 7Scrape down the sticky batter from the edges of the bowl.
  8. 8Refrigerate the dough for about 40 minutes.
  9. 9Fill the cookie tray, making cookies as big as desired. (The example yields 12 cookies per tray).
  10. 10Add soft caramels to the top of each cookie.
  11. 11Bake the cookies in the oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for approximately 13 minutes.
  12. 12Immediately after removing them from the oven, sprinkle them with some sea salt.

Tips
