Directions
- 1Put the sugar and lemon zest in a bowl.
- 2Add the butter and mix.
- 3Add the eggs one by one and mix.
- 4Add the cream and mix.
- 5Add the lemon juice and mix.
- 6Sift the flour, baking powder, and salt over the wet mixture.
- 7Mix all the ingredients until you get a smooth batter.
- 8Pour the batter into a buttered loaf pan.
- 9Spread a strip of butter in the center of the batter before baking.
- 10Make the syrup by squeezing the lemon juice.
- 11Pour the lemon juice into a saucepan.
- 12Add the sugar and water to the saucepan.
- 13Bring the syrup to a boil.
- 14Pour the syrup over the hot cake to soak it.
- 15Let the cake cool before slicing.

- 40 g sugar for sirup

- 40 g water for sirup

Tips
