Chocolate Coffee bars

Directions

  1. 1Place the biscuits in a plastic bag and crush them using a rolling pin.
  2. 2Melt the butter in a pan over medium heat.
  3. 3Add 2 teaspoons of fine ground coffee and 1 teaspoon of cocoa powder to the melted butter and stir until well combined.
  4. 4Pour the chocolate mixture over the crushed biscuits in a bowl and mix well.
  5. 5Line a glass baking dish with parchment paper.
  6. 6Press the biscuit mixture evenly into the lined dish using a glass to form the base.
  7. 7Chop the chocolate for the topping into small pieces.
  8. 8Place the chopped chocolate in a metal bowl.
  9. 9Add condensed milk to the chocolate.
  10. 10Add 2 tablespoons of fine ground coffee to the chocolate mixture.
  11. 11Add 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder to the chocolate mixture.
  12. 12Melt the chocolate mixture using a double boiler method (bain-marie) until smooth and well combined.
  13. 13Pour the melted chocolate topping over the biscuit base in the baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  14. 14Place the dish in the oven to bake.
  15. 15Refrigerate the chocolate bars until firm.
  16. 16Cut the chilled chocolate bars into individual pieces.
  17. 17Dust the chocolate bars with cocoa powder using a sieve.
  18. 18Garnish with rose petals.

  • 1 Tbsp Cocoa power
  • Rose petals
