Peri Honey Halloumi Loaded Chips

Directions

  1. 1Peel and slice the maris piper potatoes into thin fries.
  2. 2Soak the potato in an ice bath for 10 minutes, then pat dry with a kitchen towel.
  3. 3Season the fries with garlic granules, paprika, and peri salt.
  4. 4Spray the seasoned fries with a few pumps of olive oil spray.
  5. 5Place the fries into the airfryer and cook for 18-20 minutes at 200 degrees Celsius, or 30-35 minutes in the oven.
  6. 6Cube the halloumi.
  7. 7Pan fry the halloumi for a couple of minutes each side until lightly golden.
  8. 8Mix together the honey and peri sauce.
  9. 9Pour the peri honey over the pan-fried halloumi and leave over low heat for a couple of minutes.
  10. 10Make the garlic sauce by combining lighter mayo, garlic granules, distilled vinegar, and a pinch of salt.
  11. 11Serve the cooked chips in a serving basket lined with baking paper.
  12. 12Top the chips with the honey halloumi.
  13. 13Drizzle garlic sauce over the loaded chips.
  14. 14Drizzle nandos sweet chili jam over the loaded chips.
  15. 15Garnish with crispy onions.
  16. 16Garnish with fresh parsley.

  • 1 tsp garlic granules
  • 1 tsp distilled vinegar
  • pinch salt
