Directions
- 1Mix yellow cake according to box instructions.
- 2Grease and line two 8 inch round cake pans with parchment paper.
- 3Divide batter evenly between the two pans and bake according to package directions.
- 4Whisk pudding mix with 1 1/4 cups of cold milk.
- 5Cover pudding and chill in the refrigerator until cake is baked and cooled.
- 6Once cooled, remove cakes from pans and peel off parchment paper.
- 7Level the top of one cake layer.
- 8Place the leveled cake layer on a cake plate or serving tray.
- 9Spread the chilled pudding over the cake layer.
- 10Top with the second cake layer.
- 11Microwave chocolate frosting for 30-45 seconds to soften.
- 12Pour warm frosting over the top of the cake, allowing it to drip down the sides.
- 13Chill before serving.
