Serves 1

Directions

  1. 1Mix cream cheese and onion powder together.
  2. 2Put the mixture inside each jalapeno half.
  3. 3If doing bacon, wrap the partially cooked bacon around the jalapeno and secure with a toothpick.
  4. 4If doing bread crumbs, sprinkle them on top.
  5. 5Bake at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 15-20 minutes or until the pepper is tender.

Ingredients

  • 2 jalapenos, cut in half and deseeded
  • 2 oz cream cheese
  • 0.125 c cheddar cheese, shredded
  • Onion powder
  • Par cooked bacon
  • Panko bread crumbs

Equipment

toothpick

Tips

  • Customize them to be whatever you want.
  • You can wrap them in bacon or sprinkle panko breadcrumbs on top for a fried crunch without frying.
  • Utilizing ingredients in other appetizers creates less waste and allows for variety without full-size recipes.
