1Marinate the brisket in a pot with the sliced onions and Coca Cola, ensuring the brisket is completely covered, for at least 10 hours or overnight.
2Get a baking pan and create a foil T in the pan with some dampened parchment paper on top.
3Remove the brisket from the marinade and place it on the parchment paper.
4Rub the onion soup mix all over the top of the brisket.
5In a small bowl, mix the ketchup, water, honey, minced garlic, pepper, and salt.
6Pour the prepared mixture over the brisket.
7Place another dampened parchment paper over the brisket.
8Fold the aluminum foil over and tightly seal the brisket.
9Bake the brisket in a preheated oven at 300F for a minimum of 4 hours, or longer if your brisket is slightly bigger (it generally takes about an hour per pound).
10Remove the brisket from the oven, slice it, and serve.
