- 1Peel the russet potatoes.
- 2Cut the peeled potatoes into chunks.

- 7Drain the hot water from the potatoes and eggs.
- 8Crack the eggs lightly.
- 9Transfer the eggs to an ice bath to cool.
- 10Once cooled, add the cooked potatoes to a bowl.
- 11Add mayonnaise to the potatoes.
- 12Add yellow mustard to the potatoes and mayonnaise.
- 13Season the mixture with desired seasonings.
- 14Peel the cooled eggs.
- 15Mash the peeled eggs in a separate bowl.
- 16Add the mashed eggs to the bowl with the potatoes and other ingredients.
- 17Mash all the ingredients together with a potato masher.
- 18Continue mashing until well combined, sometimes with help.
- 19Mix with a spoon until everything is incorporated.
- 20Cover the bowl with foil wrap.
- 21Place the covered potato salad in an icebox to chill.
