Chicken Fried Steak Fingers

Directions

  1. 1Pour buttermilk into a bowl.
  2. 2Add hot sauce and seasoned salt; mix.
  3. 3Cut cube steak into fingers and marinate for at least 2 hours.
  4. 4Sprinkle flour onto a plate.
  5. 5Season flour with seasoned salt, onion powder, garlic powder, and black pepper.
  6. 6Pour oil into a cast iron skillet to cover the bottom.
  7. 7Dredge steak fingers in the seasoned flour mixture and dip in the buttermilk mixture, coating it thoroughly.
  8. 8Cook steak for 3-4 minutes on each side.
  9. 9Place steak fingers on a paper towel to drain excess grease.
  10. 10Remove the majority of oil from the skillet, leaving about a fourth of a cup.
  11. 11Add a fourth of a cup of all-purpose flour to the skillet and cook.
  12. 12Add two cups of whole milk.
  13. 13Season with salt and black pepper.
  14. 14Whisk and stir until thickened to the desired consistency.
