One-Pan Gnocchi and Sausage Sheet Pan Meal

youtube.com
40m
Serves 4

Directions

  1. 1Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  2. 2Place the foil-wrapped garlic bread on one side of a rimmed sheet pan. Add the gnocchi, tomatoes, and broccolini to the rest of the pan. Drizzle with olive oil, season with salt and red pepper flakes, and toss together. Break the sausage into small pieces and nestle around and on top of the gnocchi.
  3. 3Bake in the oven until the sausage and broccolini are slightly crispy.
  4. 4Remove the pan from the oven, unwrap the garlic bread and place it back on the pan cut-side up. Spread 2 tablespoons of the pesto over the bread.
  5. 5Return the pan to the oven and continue baking until the bread is done.
  6. 6Toss the gnocchi with the remaining 2 tablespoons pesto, then scatter the torn burrata over the top. Finish with an extra drizzle of pesto and red pepper flakes to taste, and serve.

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf frozen garlic bread
  • 2 package refrigerated gnocchi
  • 1 pint cherry tomatoes, quartered
  • 8 oz broccolini, chopped and tough ends trimmed off
  • olive oil (optional)
  • kosher salt (optional)
  • red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 12 oz bulk italian sausage
  • 4 tbsp pesto
  • 1 ball burrata, torn into pieces

Equipment

Tips

  • Broccolini can be substituted with regular broccoli.
  • You can tear a ball of burrata over the top of everything for an extravagant finish.
  • You can add more red pepper flakes for extra heat.
  • If the meal feels dry, some viewers recommend adding a little heavy cream with the pesto.
  • Beans make a good addition to the dish for extra flavor or to make it more filling.
