Beef and Broccoli Lo Mein

Directions

  1. 1First, make the sauce by mixing soy sauce, hoisin sauce, ground ginger (or fresh ginger), onion powder, white pepper, sesame oil, honey (or white sugar), rice wine vinegar, and a cornstarch slurry.
  2. 2Next, cut your steak thinly (sirloin used in the video).
  3. 3Add some of the marinade to the steak and let it marinate for about 15 to 30 minutes.
  4. 4Get a piping hot skillet or wok and add the steak in.
  5. 5Cook the steak for a couple of minutes until you start to see a little sear.
  6. 6Set all the cooked steak pieces to the side.
  7. 7To the same pan, add in some chopped onions and fresh garlic.
  8. 8Throw in the blanched broccoli.
  9. 9Hit that with the marinade and let it thicken up.
  10. 10Add the steak back into the pan.
  11. 11Throw in spaghetti noodles or lo mein noodles.
  12. 12Give that a good toss.
