Southern Sweet Iced Tea
Directions
- 1Measure out 1 3/4 cups of sugar.
- 2Boil 8 cups of water.
- 3Add the sugar to the boiled water to create a simple syrup.
- 4Add the tea bags to the simple syrup.
- 5Allow the tea bags to steep for at least 8 to 10 minutes.
- 6Add a dash of baking soda to the tea for a smooth taste.
- 7Squeeze all the juice out of the tea bags and remove them.
- 8Add sliced lemon to a pitcher.
- 9Once the tea is cooled, pour it into the pitcher with the lemons.
- 10Cover the pitcher and store the sweet tea.
- 11Fill a glass with ice.
- 12Pour the sweet tea into the glass with ice.

- 5 Luzianne Tea bags or Lipton Tea bags
- 1.75 cups sugar
- 8.5 cups water
- 0.25 tsp baking soda
- 1 lemon
