Turkey Burgers with Extra Crispy Oven Fries

Directions

  1. 1Set your oven to 430 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. 2Cut the potato into quarter-inch strips.
  3. 3Stack the strips and cut them into quarter-inch thick sticks.
  4. 4Fill a bowl with cold water and soak the fries for 10 to 20 minutes to remove some starch.
  5. 5In a big bowl, add about 1 pound of ground turkey.
  6. 6Add 2 cloves of minced garlic.
  7. 7Dice a quarter of an onion and add it to the bowl.
  8. 8Chop a couple sprigs of rosemary and add it to the bowl.
  9. 9Add about a tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce.
  10. 10Add a tablespoon of Dijon mustard.
  11. 11Add a teaspoon of dried parsley.
  12. 12Add a teaspoon of fresh pepper.
  13. 13Beat one egg and pour it into the turkey mixture.
  14. 14Mix the turkey mixture well.
  15. 15Wet your hands with water.
  16. 16Take a ball of turkey and roll it up.
  17. 17Flatten it out into a patty.
  18. 18Season the patties with salt and pepper.
  19. 19Sprinkle with garlic powder and a dash of onion powder.
  20. 20After about 20 minutes, drain your fries.
  21. 21Lay them on a towel and get them as dry as possible.
  22. 22Add a teaspoon of olive oil to the fries.
  23. 23Add a teaspoon of pepper, half a teaspoon of paprika, a teaspoon of garlic powder, half a teaspoon of onion powder, and a healthy amount of salt.
  24. 24Toss the fries until evenly coated.
  25. 25Add about a teaspoon of cornstarch and toss until it's mixed up with all the fries.
  26. 26Line a pan with foil.
  27. 27Put some olive oil on a paper towel and wipe your foil with it.
  28. 28Dump your fries on the foil and make sure they're evenly spaced.
  29. 29Bake these at 430 degrees Fahrenheit for about 20 minutes or until they get brown and crispy.
  30. 30Get a pan and set your temperature to medium heat.
  31. 31Add about a tablespoon of olive oil.
  32. 32Once your pan is hot enough, get your patty and gently lay it in the pan.
  33. 33While they're cooking, season the other side with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  34. 34After 5 minutes, flip your patties.
  35. 35After about 2 minutes, add your cheese.
  36. 36Cover your pan and cook it for another 2 to 3 minutes.
  37. 37Throw some butter in a pan on low heat and put your buns in there for a little bit to toast.
  38. 38Transfer your fries to a big bowl and hit them with a little more salt.
  39. 39Take your beautifully toasted buns and spread a layer of mayo on the bottom bun.
  40. 40Top it with shredded lettuce and sliced red onion.
  41. 41On the top bun, add a little more mayo and some Dijon mustard.
