Place seven strips of hickory-smoked bacon in a cast iron pan.

Cook the bacon until done and remove it from the pan.

Add 85/15 beef patties to the pan with the bacon grease.

Sear the patties on both sides and remove them from the pan.

Add one medium-sized diced onion to the pan.

Add one diced bell pepper to the pan.

Cook the onions and bell peppers for a few minutes until they soften.

Add 8 ounces of fresh sliced mushrooms to the pan.

Add a tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce to the pan.

Add a tablespoon of black pepper to the pan.

Add granulated garlic to the pan.

Add "flavor time" seasoning to the pan.

Add a third of a cup of all-purpose flour to the pan and stir continuously.

Continue stirring the mixture until the flour turns a dark brown color.

Slowly add 32 ounces of beef broth while continuously stirring.

Bring the mixture to a low simmer.

Add the seared patties back into the gravy.

Place the pan in a 300-degree Fahrenheit oven and let it simmer for 30 minutes.

Serve the hamburger steak on top of homemade mashed potatoes with extra gravy and a side of green beans.
