Homemade Chocolate Pudding

Directions

  1. 1Keep the heat nice and low.
  2. 2Add in 2 tablespoons of butter.
  3. 3Add in 4 teaspoons of cornstarch.
  4. 4Whisk until all the white specks disappear.
  5. 5Pour in 2 cups of heavy cream.
  6. 6Add in 1/4 cup of granulated sugar to sweeten things up.
  7. 7Slowly increase the heat to medium.
  8. 8Heat until it's just barely starting to simmer and thickening up, then remove from heat.
  9. 9Stir in 1 cup of chocolate chips (semi-sweet, milk chocolate, or a mix of both).
  10. 10Whisk into chocolate heaven.
  11. 11Transfer the pudding to a bowl.
  12. 12Cover the pudding with plastic wrap, ensuring it is just touching the top of the pudding.
  13. 13Pop the pudding in the fridge and wait until it cools off, which will take about an hour.
  14. 14Remove the plastic wrap.
  15. 15Eat straight from the bowl or scoop into serving cups.
