19In a separate bowl, mix 1 tablespoon of chili powder, 1 tablespoon of lemon pepper, 2 teaspoons of ground cumin, 2 teaspoons of onion powder, 2 teaspoons of garlic powder, 1 teaspoon of oregano, 1 teaspoon of chipotle powder, and 5 teaspoons of salt to create the carne asada seasoning.
20Mix the seasoning ingredients together until well combined.
21Sprinkle the carne asada seasoning over 3 lbs of small diced skirt or bottom round roast.
22Mix the seasoning into the meat with your hands, ensuring it's evenly coated.
23Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add a little bit of oil, allowing it to heat up.
24Add the seasoned meat to the hot skillet, making sure to put it in a single layer and not to overcrowd it.

30Once the tortillas have fully blistered, turn them over.
31Add shredded cheese to the tortillas and allow it to melt.
32Add some of the cooked carne asada meat on top of the melted cheese.
33Add some diced onion on top of the meat.
34Add some cilantro on top of the onion.
35Spoon some salsa de rbol on top.

Tips
No marinating is needed for this recipe. The carne asada seasoning mix is all you need!
For the carne asada, use skirt or beef bottom round roast presliced steaks.
When chopping the meat, make sure to cut against the grain.
The meat is nice, juicy, and tender after 2 minutes of cooking, but you can always cook it longer to your liking.
