Orange Sesame Chicken Salad

Directions

  1. 1In a bowl, add 5 cups of shredded green cabbage.
  2. 2Add 2 oranges, all segmented up.
  3. 3Add 1 diced avocado.
  4. 4Add 1 cup of sliced green onions.
  5. 5Add a quarter cup of chopped cilantro.
  6. 6Cube up 2 chicken breasts.
  7. 7Season the chicken with 1 teaspoon of salt.
  8. 8Add 1 teaspoon of pepper.
  9. 9Add 1 teaspoon of garlic powder.
  10. 10Add 1 teaspoon of onion powder.
  11. 11Cook the chicken until it's nice and brown on the outside.
  12. 12Toss the cooked chicken on top of the salad.
  13. 13Into a pan, add a quarter cup of slivered almonds and two tablespoons of sesame seeds.
  14. 14Toast them all up.
  15. 15Toss them on the salad for great flavor and wicked texture.
  16. 16For the dressing, into a mason jar, add a half cup of sesame oil.
  17. 17Add a quarter cup of maple syrup.
  18. 18Add a third of a cup of low sodium soy sauce.
  19. 19Add three tablespoons of rice wine vinegar.
  20. 20Add three tablespoons of fresh ginger.
  21. 21Add the zest of an orange.
  22. 22Add about a tablespoon of fresh orange juice.
  23. 23Give that a good shake.
  24. 24Pour the dressing over the salad and mix it up.
