Directions

  1. 1Wash and deskin the salmon, then season it with your choice of seasonings.
  2. 2Apply olive oil to the salmon and pat in the seasonings well.
  3. 3Sear the salmon on both sides in a skillet with olive oil until done.
  4. 4In the same pan used for salmon, add sliced onions and season with black pepper and red crushed peppers.
  5. 5Sauté the onions until they are cooked down.
  6. 6Add 4 cups of water to the pan.
  7. 7Stir in 2 tablespoons of chicken bouillon into the water and onion mixture.
  8. 8Add coconut milk (or heavy whipping cream) to the mixture and stir well.
  9. 9Let the broth simmer for 5 minutes.
  10. 10Add fresh parsley, fresh basil, fresh rosemary, fresh thyme, and tomato paste to the broth.
  11. 11In a separate bowl, combine soy sauce, honey, and brown sugar for the glaze.
  12. 12Add the glaze mixture and some butter to a pan and heat until bubbling.
  13. 13Add the salmon back into the pan with the bubbling glaze and coat it repeatedly.
  14. 14After about 30 minutes, check and stir the broth.
  15. 15Prepare rice off-camera using chicken broth and butter.
  16. 16Drizzle bok choy with olive oil.
  17. 17Season bok choy with black pepper, onion powder, and buttery garlic seasoning.
  18. 18Add minced garlic to the bok choy and shake well to distribute the seasonings.
  19. 19In a pan, add olive oil and chili onion crunch.
  20. 20Add the seasoned bok choy to the pan and cook down.
  21. 21Cook the bok choy covered for about 10 to 12 minutes until done.
  22. 22Plate the salmon, rice, bok choy, and broth together.
