Amanda's Cowboy Crack Queso Dip

Directions

  1. 1Add 1 pound of white cheddar cheese, 1 pound of pepper jack cheese, and 1 pound of smoked cheddar cheese to a crock pot that is already on high heat.
  2. 2Shred all the cheese directly into the crock pot.
  3. 3Add a little bit of milk to the shredded cheese.
  4. 4Stir the cheese and milk around in the crock pot.
  5. 5Put the lid on the crock pot and let the cheese start to melt.
  6. 6Take 1 pound of Jimmy Dean's hot sausage out of its packaging and place it in a pan.
  7. 7Smush out the sausage to cover the entire pan.
  8. 8Turn on the burner to medium heat.
  9. 9Once the bottom of the sausage is browned, cut it in half and flip each side.
  10. 10Wait for the other side to brown, then use a meat chopper to chop up the sausage into crumbles.
  11. 11Drain the excess oil from the crumbled sausage using a paper towel.
  12. 12Stir the melting cheese in the crock pot.
  13. 13Add the 1 pound of spicy sausage to the melted cheese in the crock pot.
  14. 14Add 1 can of drained sweet golden corn to the crock pot.
  15. 15Add 2 cans of Rotel classic diced tomatoes and green chiles to the crock pot.
  16. 16Add 1 block of softened cream cheese to the crock pot.
  17. 17Add 4 ounces of sour cream to the crock pot.
  18. 18Add 2 de-seeded and chopped jalapeños to the crock pot.
  19. 19Mix all the ingredients together thoroughly in the crock pot.
  20. 20Put the lid back on the crock pot and let it melt and combine.
  21. 21Once thoroughly melted and combined, the dip is ready to be served with chips.

Tips

  • If you smush out the sausage to cover the whole pan before turning on the burner, it will cook more evenly.
