Make slits on the paneer.

Add besan, turmeric powder, pepper powder, salt, lemon zest, and lemon juice to the paneer.

Coat the paneer well with the mixture and let it marinate.

Drizzle oil in a pan.

Cook the paneer on all sides until golden.

Blend together cooked chickpeas with curd, besan, ginger, garlic, green chili, cumin, turmeric powder, and water.

Pour the blended mixture into a pan and cook it on simmer, stirring until it thickens to a smooth sauce.

Serve the cooked paneer over garlic coriander rice.

Garnish with a slice of lime and fresh coriander.

Pour the chickpea yellow sauce around the paneer and rice.
