3Add 4-6 cups of fresh or frozen fruit, or 2-3 cans of fruit in juice or light syrup, to the melted butter.
4If using fresh fruit, toss with 0.5-0.75 cup sugar, 1 Tbsp lemon juice, and 1 Tbsp cornstarch (for frozen or juicy fruit).
5Mix together 1 cup all-purpose flour, 1 cup sugar, 1 cup milk, 1 tsp baking powder, 0.5 tsp salt, and a splash of vanilla to create the topping batter.
6Pour the batter right over the top of the fruit in the baking dish; do not stir.
7Bake for 45-55 minutes or until golden brown.
