Add 2 and 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour, a tablespoon of baking powder, and two teaspoons of salt to a bowl.

Whisk these dry ingredients together.

Add 1 and 3/4 cups of buttermilk and mix until you have a sticky ball of dough.

Set the dough aside.

Grab a 9x9 baking dish and add two cans of Libby's country sausage gravy, spreading it evenly across the bottom.

Ploop the ball of dough on top of the gravy and spread it out edge to edge.

Pour a half a cup of melted butter right on top of the dough.

Grab your favorite biscuit knife and precut the dough.

Throw the whole thing in the oven at 350° for about 40 minutes.

Once it comes out, brush a little bit of melted butter on top.

Let the biscuits cool down for a few minutes.

Once cooled off, place a biscuit on a plate.

Sprinkle with black pepper if desired.
