Garlic parmesan orzo with seared steak

Directions

  1. 1Season steaks generously with salt, pepper, and steak seasoning.
  2. 2Sear steaks in a hot skillet 4 minutes per side for medium. In the last 2 minutes, add butter and crushed garlic and baste. Remove and let rest.
  3. 3In the same pan, melt remaining butter and sauté shallot and minced garlic until fragrant (about 2 minutes).
  4. 4Add orzo and toast for 1 minute.
  5. 5Pour in chicken broth, bring to a boil, then reduce heat, cover, and simmer ~10 minutes, stirring halfway through. Add more broth if needed until orzo is tender.
  6. 6Stir in heavy cream and parmesan until creamy and smooth. Adjust salt and pepper to taste.
  7. 7Slice steak and return it with all pan juices back into the pan. Top with parsley and serve.
