Directions

  1. 1Cook 2 pounds of ground beef in a pan, seasoning with taco seasoning, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  2. 2Add one diced onion to the cooking meat.
  3. 3Once the meat is cooked, add two cans of refried beans and one can of diced tomatoes to the pan.
  4. 4Pour an entire bottle of La Victoria taco sauce into the mixture.
  5. 5Season the mixture with a little more garlic powder.
  6. 6Mix the ingredients together and heat through for a couple of minutes.
  7. 7Spread a thin layer of the meat and bean mixture at the bottom of an aluminum pan.
  8. 8Add a layer of shredded Chihuahua cheese on top of the meat and bean mixture.
  9. 9Place a layer of flour tortillas on top of the cheese, using double tortillas to prevent sogginess.
  10. 10Add half of the remaining meat mixture on top of the tortillas.
  11. 11Add another layer of cheese.
  12. 12Add another layer of tortillas.
  13. 13Spread the rest of the meat mixture on top of the tortillas.
  14. 14Top with another layer of Chihuahua cheese.
  15. 15Add sharp cheddar cheese on top for extra flavor.
  16. 16Cover the pan with aluminum foil.
  17. 17Bake in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 30 to 45 minutes, or until bubbly.
  18. 18Remove from the oven and serve hot.
  19. 19Top with a drizzle of crema.
