Homemade Yogurt

Directions

  1. 1Pour the milk into a saucepan and turn on the heat to medium.
  2. 2Cook the milk at a gentle simmer for at least 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. 3Let the milk cool down to around 55 degrees Celsius.
  4. 4Add yogurt to the milk.
  5. 5Mix well.
  6. 6Pour the warm milk into jars.
  7. 7Cover the jars and keep them warm under a blanket or thick sweater.
  8. 8Keep warm for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  9. 9Refrigerate the yogurt and store it for up to 2 weeks.
