Directions

  1. 1Add half a gallon of milk to a large saucepan.
  2. 2Bring your milk to a boil over a medium-high heat.
  3. 3Once the milk starts to boil, add in one third cup of white vinegar and mix it in.
  4. 4Turn off the heat. You can tell that it instantly starts to separate the whey from the curd.
  5. 5Mix this up for 30 seconds.
  6. 6After 30 seconds of mixing, add your lid and just allow it to sit for 30 minutes.
  7. 7After 30 minutes of sitting, you can see that the curd and the whey has completely separated.
  8. 8Strain the whey from the curd.
  9. 9Rinse it off with cold water.
  10. 10Strain out as much water as you can.
  11. 11Put it in a bowl.
  12. 12Add some salt.
  13. 13Add about a fourth of a cup of heavy whipping cream and mix it.

Tips

  • If you want it creamier, add more heavy whipping cream. If you like it less creamy, don't add as much.
