Creamy chili crisp pasta

Directions

  1. 1Cook your pasta al dente, meaning one to two minutes less than the cook time, as it will continue cooking in the sauce.
  2. 2Make sure to save some pasta water in case the sauce gets too thick, you can use it to thin it out.
  3. 3To a pan add butter, all-purpose flour stir until you get a light brown color, one to two minutes on low medium heat.
  4. 4While whisking, slowly incorporate milk and continue whisking.
  5. 5Add in heavy whipping cream, Parmesan cheese, salt, garlic powder.
  6. 6Let the sauce come cook and thicken.
  7. 7Once the sauce is completely done and thickened to your liking, add in the chili oil/crisp.
  8. 8Add in the pasta.
  9. 9Slowly mix sauce and pasta.
  10. 10You can cook to bring it all together or just mix and serve.
  11. 11Serve immediately garnished with parsley and chili oil.

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
  • 4 oz cream cheese softened
  • 2 cups milk
  • 0.75 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 0.75 cup Parmesan cheese

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • pinch turmeric
  • 0.25 cup chili crisp or chili oil
  • Parsley for garnish

Tips
