Copycat Long John Silver's Hushpuppies
Directions
- 1In a bowl, mix together 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 1 1/4 cup of cornmeal, 1/4 cup of sugar, 1 tablespoon of baking powder, and 1 teaspoon of salt.
- 2Add 1 cup of buttermilk and 1 egg to the mix and stir until it becomes thick.
- 3Heat oil to 350°F.
- 4Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil and stir until golden brown.
- 5Remove from the oil and drain on a wire rack.
