Directions

  1. 1In a large bowl, add four eggs and one and a half cups of packed brown sugar and mix together.
  2. 2Add one cup of vegetable oil, two tablespoons of maple syrup, and one teaspoon of vanilla, then mix.
  3. 3Add a 15-ounce can of pumpkin puree and mix that in.
  4. 4In a separate bowl, mix two cups of flour, two teaspoons of baking powder, one teaspoon of baking soda, two and a half teaspoons of cinnamon, one and a half teaspoons of nutmeg, half a teaspoon of cloves, a fourth of a teaspoon of ginger, half a teaspoon of allspice, and half a teaspoon of salt.
  5. 5Slowly mix the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients.
  6. 6Line 24 cupcake tins with liners.
  7. 7Pour the batter into the lined cupcake tins.
  8. 8Bake in the oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for about 25 to 30 minutes.
  9. 9For the brown butter, put two sticks of butter in a pan and turn the heat on high until it turns brown, then take it off the heat.
  10. 10Put the browned butter in the refrigerator to let it set up, then let the cupcakes cool off.
  11. 11Add the brown butter and one block of cream cheese (8 ounces) to a mixing bowl and mix it all together.
  12. 12Add one teaspoon of vanilla, about four to five cups of powdered sugar, half a teaspoon of cinnamon, and about a fourth of a cup of milk and mix until combined.
  13. 13Frost the cooled cupcakes with the brown butter cream cheese frosting.
  14. 14Top the frosted cupcakes with a little bit of cinnamon.
