Combine eggs, vanilla, oil, milk, and sour cream in a bowl and mix well.

In a separate bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

Gently fold in about a cup and a half of chocolate chips into the batter, being careful not to overmix.

Preheat oven to 425°F.

Line a muffin tray with large muffin liners.

Fill each muffin liner about three quarters full with batter.

Bake at 425°F for 6 minutes.

Reduce oven temperature to 350°F and continue baking for 14 to 15 minutes, or 17-18 minutes for larger muffins.
