Caramel Apple Crisp
Directions
- 1First make the topping. In a mixing bowl, combine oats, flour, brown sugar, white sugar, salt and cinnamon. Then whisk it and add cubed butter, mixing everything with your hands or a pastry blender.
- 2Peel and slice the apples.
- 3In a cast iron skillet over medium heat, make caramel by adding sugar and letting it melt. Add butter and mix.
- 4Add heavy cream and vanilla extract to the caramel. Mix.
- 5Add the apples to the caramel and cook until softened.
- 6Add the crumble topping and cook until golden brown.
- 7Serve with a scoop of salted maple ice cream.
