Whipped Goat Cheese Bacon Date Jam

Directions
- 1Render off 5 pieces of diced bacon in a pan.
- 2Pour out the fat once the bacon is crispy, leaving about a tablespoon in the pan.
- 3Add 1/4 cup of butter, 1/4 cup of brown sugar, 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, and 1 teaspoon of grainy mustard to the pan.
- 4Let the ingredients melt together in the pan.
- 5Once melted, add 1 cup of crushed toasted pecans and 8 pitted and diced dates to the pan.
- 6Mix all ingredients together.
- 7Add the rendered bacon back into the mixture and set aside.
- 8In a bowl, mix together 10 ounces of goat cheese with 8 ounces of cream cheese until nice and smooth.
- 9Put the whipped goat cheese mixture into a serving bowl.
- 10Top the goat cheese with the date bacon jam.
