Directions

  1. 1Season the country-style ribs by mixing 1 1/2 teaspoons of garlic powder, 1 1/2 teaspoons of onion powder, 2 teaspoons of smoked paprika, 1/4 teaspoon of cumin, and 2 1/2 tablespoons of brown sugar (or honey) in a bowl.
  2. 2Sprinkle the seasoning generously on all four ribs.
  3. 3Place the seasoned ribs into a deep dish.
  4. 4In a measuring cup, combine 1 cup of water and 3/4 cup of apple cider vinegar, then pour it over the ribs in the dish.
  5. 5Marinate the ribs in the refrigerator for 30 minutes; do not exceed this time to prevent them from becoming mushy.
  6. 6After marinating, remove the ribs to a plate and sprinkle a little more of the seasoning on both sides of the ribs.
  7. 7Add pepper to both sides of the ribs according to your preference.
  8. 8Sprinkle kosher salt on both sides of the ribs.
  9. 9Place the seasoned and marinated ribs into the Ninja Foodi cooking pot.
  10. 10Pour half a cup of the marinating liquid into the cooking pot with the ribs.
  11. 11Close the lid and set the pressure release valve to seal.
  12. 12Set the Ninja Foodi to pressure cook on high for 17 minutes.
  13. 13After pressure cooking, allow a natural pressure release for 10 minutes.
  14. 14Turn the pressure release valve to release any remaining pressure, waiting for the red float valve to go down before opening.
  15. 15Remove the ribs from the pot and empty out all but half a cup of the liquid.
  16. 16Generously apply Sweet Baby Ray's barbecue sauce (hickory and brown sugar flavor) to both sides of the ribs, brushing it on well.
  17. 17Place the sauced ribs into the air fryer basket.
  18. 18Pour a little more barbecue sauce on top of the ribs in the basket.
  19. 19Insert the air fryer basket into the Ninja Foodi.
  20. 20Set the Ninja Foodi to air crisp at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 14 minutes.
  21. 21Monitor the ribs during air crisping and reposition if necessary by opening and closing the lid.
  22. 22Once the air crisping is complete, remove the finished ribs.
