Bob's Big Boy Copycat Strawberry Pie

Directions

  1. 1Thaw the frozen pie crust according to instructions.
  2. 2Poke holes in the pie crust according to instructions.
  3. 3Bake the pie crust in the oven according to instructions, then let it cool down.
  4. 4In a saucepan, add 3/4 cup of sugar and 3 tablespoons of cornstarch.
  5. 5Whisk the sugar and cornstarch together.
  6. 6Add 1 cup of 7-Up and 1/2 cup of tap water to the saucepan.
  7. 7Whisk all ingredients until combined.
  8. 8Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring frequently until the sugar dissolves and it thickens.
  9. 9Add one box of strawberry Jell-O mix and whisk until dissolved and red.
  10. 10Set the Jell-O mixture aside to cool.
  11. 11Pour the destemmed, washed, and halved strawberries into the cooked and cooled pie crust.
  12. 12Pack the strawberries nicely into the pie crust.
  13. 13Once the Jell-O mixture has cooled for about 5 minutes, pour it all over the strawberries in the pie crust.
  14. 14Place the pie in the fridge for a few hours until it is fully set.
  15. 15Cut a piece of pie and serve with whipped cream if desired.
