Creamy Chicken and Wild Rice Soup

Directions

  1. 1Season chicken breasts with Kinder's The Blend seasoning.
  2. 2Slice up carrots and celery.
  3. 3Dice yellow onion and mince garlic cloves.
  4. 4Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat and cook the chicken until completely done.
  5. 5Remove the chicken, and give it a rough chop.
  6. 6Add butter to the pan and stir in your veggies.
  7. 7Season with salt and pepper and cook for ten minutes, then add in your garlic.
  8. 8Cook the garlic for a minute, then add in more butter.
  9. 9Stir in flour and let that cook down for three to four minutes.
  10. 10Slowly stir in chicken broth and heavy cream.
  11. 11Add Ben's Original long grain and wild rice, as well as the seasoning packets that come with them.
  12. 12Give that a good stir, then add the chicken in.
  13. 13Let it come to a boil, put the lid on, and reduce the heat to a simmer.
  14. 14Cook for twenty to twenty-five minutes, stirring occasionally, until the rice is fully cooked and the soup is thickened up.

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 2 boxes Ben's Original long grain and wild rice
