Hoisin Garlic Noodles

Directions

  1. 1Boil noodles in salted water.
  2. 2Pull the noodles the minute they start to soften; we want them bouncy, not mushy.
  3. 3Drain and rinse the noodles to cool.
  4. 4Mix hoisin, soy sauce, sesame oil, and maple syrup in a small bowl to create the sauce.
  5. 5Heat oil in a large skillet.
  6. 6Add the finely chopped garlic and white parts of the scallions to the skillet and cook until fragrant.
  7. 7Quickly pour in the sauce.
  8. 8Add the noodles to the skillet, tossing to coat them with the sauce.
  9. 9Let the noodles cook undisturbed until the bottom turns crispy, for 2 to 3 minutes.
  10. 10Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  11. 11Serve topped with toasted sesame seeds and the green parts of the scallions.

  • 6 scallions, white & green parts sliced
  • 4 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
  • Salt
  • Pepper
