Honey Garlic Chicken Tenders

Directions

  1. 1Coat chicken tenders with seasoned flour.
  2. 2Combine flour, cornstarch, sweet heat rub, and baking powder in a bowl.
  3. 3Transfer one-third of the flour mixture into another bowl.
  4. 4Add cold club soda to the smaller amount of flour mixture and whisk until a loose pancake batter consistency is achieved.
  5. 5Slice garlic thinly.
  6. 6Melt butter in a pan.
  7. 7Add sliced garlic to the melted butter and cook on medium heat.
  8. 8Add soy sauce and rice vinegar.
  9. 9Add sesame seed oil.
  10. 10Turn off the heat and add honey.
  11. 11Add cornstarch slurry.
  12. 12Dip the chicken tenders in the wet batter, then the dry flour mixture, back into the wet batter, and finally into the dry flour mixture again.
  13. 13Fry in oil at 350°F for 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
  14. 14Toss the fried tenders in the honey garlic sauce.
