Grandma’s Legendary Creamed Spinach

Directions

  1. 1Add some water in a pot. As soon as it comes to a boil, drop your spinach.
  2. 2Cook the spinach for one minute until it wilts.
  3. 3Grab a strainer, drain the spinach, and run some cold water on it to stop the cooking process and to take it down in the tin.
  4. 4Put the spinach on a chopping board and cut it into pieces.
  5. 5Add 2 to 3 tablespoons of butter to the same pot or a new one and melt it down.
  6. 6Add some onions and cook for about 2 minutes.
  7. 7Add three minced cloves of garlic to the onions and butter.
  8. 8Take about 4 oz of cream cheese, cut it up in pieces, and add it to the pot.
  9. 9Add some whole milk to stretch out the dish.

  • 0.5 medium onion, minced
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 0.5 block cream cheese (room temp)
  • 2 tsp salt and pepper
  • 1 pinch nutmeg

Tips
