Directions

  1. 1Mix dry ingredients separately for the cake.
  2. 2Mix wet ingredients separately for the cake.
  3. 3Combine dry and wet ingredients for the cake.
  4. 4Pour the cake batter into a parchment-lined 9x13 pan.
  5. 5Bake the cake at 350° for 20–25 minutes.
  6. 6Cool the cake completely.
  7. 7For the cream filling, whip butter, palm shortening (or more butter), powdered sugar, optional honey, vanilla, and 2-3 tbsp milk until fluffy.
  8. 8Spread the cream filling between cake squares and sandwich them together.

  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 -3 tbsp milk
