Directions

  1. 1Wash garlic skins and dry them in the oven at 200F or via an air-dry or dehydrator until they are crisp.
  2. 2Blend the dried skins into a fine powder.
  3. 3Combine 1 tbsp garlic powder with 4 tbsp salt to make garlic salt.
  4. 4Add 1 tbsp dried mushroom powder to the garlic salt to make an umami seasoning.
  5. 5Add 1 tbsp paprika, 1 tbsp brown sugar, 1 tbsp freshly cracked black pepper, and 1 tbsp chili powder to the garlic salt to make a barbecue rub.
